Certainly NOT genius because it leaves them wide open for FRAUD charges. Normally Record Dates are give in ADVANCE -- NOT after the fact. Suppose I sold KATX the day BEFORE the Record Date THAT WAS NEVER TOLD TO ME. Had I known when it was I never would have sold. I can certainly say I WAS DEFRAUDED, and I can sue. I was DEFRAUDED out of the benefits I could have received if I had known the Record Date and not sold my shares. I was highly surprised when the S E C allowed these clowns to get away with that. There may yet be litigation and they even say so in the S-1.
