Late Night Chat / After Hours

A somewhat amusing story:

I was about 7 years old and shared a bedroom with my little brother. The room had those blinds on the window that you can raise up and down and twist the thingy to close and open the louvers.

Well I noticed that at night if cars turned the corner on our block the headlights would shine through the blinds and cast a moving light show on the wall.

Being creative even as a baby I concocted a story that the lights were ghosts.

I told my brother and my two baby sisters to come see the phenomenon. I told some scary stories about ghosts such as a boy as young as I could make up. And turned out the lights!!!

Well, It soon happened and the ghost lights filled the dark room!

My baby sisters started screaming and frankly I completely forgot that the whole idea was mine! I was in as large a panic as anyone. It must have looked like the 3 Stooges getting out of there.

We all ran to my folks with incoherent blubbering about the ghosts.
