smartone, hi

I was trying to show in real time what can be done on the final day or two of an options expiration period.

Actually I usually post very little on Fridays because there is just not enough time to do that while I'm focusing intently on possible scalps set-ups, calculating the remaining premium, relation of the options price as compared to the underlying issue, best strike, and on and on.

I made the effort today in follow-up to my morning invitation to initiate a discussion about optimum strike selection.

As it turned out, most of the trades were okay. However, I was surprised that none turned out to be in error which would have required a quick exit to limit loss, which can be equally horrendous if one is not perfectly clear in advance of the specific dismount tactic.

There were four earlier scalps not posted, for a total of nine for the day. Well over half of my options trading results come from Fridays' action. The TA is mostly 1-minute with an occasional examination of 15 and 60-minutes for context. The technical indicators for those time frames are more accurate and reliable, by far. One doesn't have to hold a position very long at all to garner a worthwhile gain.

Anyone with specific interest and questions, fire away. I'll be available most of this weekend.
