J. Allard of XBOX worships Nolan Bushnell(On WAVE's BOD). An amusing and microscopic dot. In fact, J. Allard(who heads the Xbox project) goes so far as to say:

"There's been a little bit of Nolan(ACTUALLY I WISHED HE HAD SAID WAVE SYSTEMS! LOL!) in nearly everything I have ever done."

As I said in the keynote, I met Nolan Bushnell, and thought he had the most amazing job when I was a kid. And now there's a little bit of Nolan in every Xbox. There's been a little bit of Nolan in nearly everything I have ever done. He's been a real inspiration for me. It's been cool to kind of have Nolan's job. I just wish I could just do it as well and have the kind of impact he did, we haven't had that yet

I have to ask... education wise, what is your background?

I've played a lot of games, A LOT. And then I tore apart a lot of games and figured out how they worked. And then I tweaked a lot of games and then I went to school and thought a lot about being a graphic designer, or an architect, or a guy who builds bridges, and I solved a lot of my problems with computers. So I went into computer science, and then I discovered the Internet. So then I went to Microsoft as this "Internet guy", because at the time they didn't get it. We did our Internet stuff for 10 years. So now it's coming full circle, where I ended up first playing games, tearing them up, and then writing them and selling them in Ziploc baggies when I was 14. That kind of thing.

Taking apart video games in his youth helped create J Allard.

Then I learned what I was actually doing in college, and then this Internet thing took off and I was happy to be part of that at Microsoft and now doing what I've always loved. I got in on the ground floor with Xbox. I just wish I could just do it as well and have the kind of impact he did, we haven't had that yet.

Thank you for your time. It has been fascinating.
