What you are referring to are the companies Steipp is after. Steipp isn't after Apple as Apple doesn't buy what it's sold, it buys what it WANTS. Steipp is referring to aerospace and military contracts which have a 5-10 year average contract.

Also, Apple has $125 billion dollars and already owns the rights to the alloy. So Apple will do what they need to do to remain innovative. Don't think that ANY company pitches APPLE these days. APPLE knows what is out there and has the most brilliant minds looking into their options.

Also, Liquidmetal wlll not make the parts for Apple. Apple will have their manufacturer (Honhai) order the machines from Engel under assumed names and have a factory full of those machines as soon as they are perfect and will have dozens of those machines producing their parts.

Of course, this is only if Apple decides to move forward with this alloy.
