Questions : Texas Landowners Seeking Developer For One Of The Largest Wind Energy Projects In The U.S.
Open Discussion :
What do you thinks this means : POINTS
#1 - Why would it say 'the Landowners Seek Developer' Not Spinning Star? #2 - Why would it say 'FORMERLY KNOW AS' Spinning Star #3 - Per Texas Land Records- Spinning Star is a land owner in the area they talk about in the article.. #4 - What happened with Cielo and RES AMERICAS.. I thought they were are developers. #5 - It still states in article that it's for 'One Of The Largest Wind Energy Projects In The U.S.' meaning an already registered project. RIGHT!! #6 - Maybe the project is too big and they need multiple developers. Because the 40,000 acres they discuss in article is only talking about PHASE #1 - Phase #2 The 18,000 acres in Reagan County on UT LAND is not mentioned.. #7 - maybe they need to build both Phases at the same time..??
The landowners of approximately 40,000 acres of land, formerly known as part of the Noelke Hill Wind Ranch and Spinning Star Energy Smart Wind Ranch projects, are seeking a qualified developer for what would be one of the largest wind energy projects in the country.
The land is located in Upton and Crockett counties in West Texas, near McCamey and south of Rankin, and has some of the best wind resources in the U.S.
The land is located east of Texas Highway 349, encompassing the mesas from Rankin to Iraan and near new competitive renewable energy zone transmission lines scheduled to be completed by the end of this year or the beginning of next year.
The owners can provide almost five years of wind data that is currently being monitored by GL Garrad Hassan. They are seeking a qualified developer capable of starting construction on the project before the end of this year and that can complete the project in one single phase of construction in 2014.
