Paranoid? As has been stated on the old ctkt board a few
times, Mr. Hilal was one of the principle architects of the
electronic calculator. What was never discussed, but
lightweight DD at the last SHM 2003 showed, was that he was supplying a large company. Eventually, that company took his ideas and kicked him to the curb. ie, he was undercut by his own "friend". Who was that company?
Hint: It probably made the first calculator you owned in college if you are in your 40's and were a nonscience major.(ie it wasn't HP). So yeah, he is now paranoid.
Without going into too much detail, I can assure you that a scientist/businessperson can be effective, sincere, friendly, and generally briliant, yet have real and unreal paranoid NOTIONS.
