In a world where VCRs still exist I doubt that the majority of America will we trading in their DVDs for computer based down loads or hardware that is not main stream. Every piece of electronic hardware based on new technology that has ever come down the pike took years to adopt... all of them. We still rent VHS tapes at block buster for crying out loud. The hardware you are talking about is not even available yet. I seriously doubt that we see a major impact in VOD anytime soon. America is not ready for change yet. And history will prove that Americans don't change over night.

I think that with Hollywood political issues still being hammered out, lack of mainstream hardware and the American family just getting into the DVD thing we will be waiting on VOD to mature for some time to come.
