Re-loaded question...

On our older computer, we were successfully able to re-install Windows XP from our original disc.

We can get on the internet. We don't seem to get to stay there very long.

It appears as though we are running Internet Explorer 6.

We are being prompted to get Internet Explorer 8 as the only way to get to Microsoft's website to get the updates and Microsoft Security Essentials is to go there with IE8.

I downloaded IE8 to the desktop. When we try to run the download, we get iesetup-Entry PointNot Found error.

Says the entry point SHRegGetValueW could not be located in the dynamic link library SHL WAPI.dll

Any ideas?
