mPhase Technologies Ranks Among the Fastest Growing Technology Companies in North America

PR, Tuesday November 1, 9:45 am ET

Established Broadband Leader and Pioneer of Internet TV and Nanotechnology Identified as No. 132 in the 2005 Deloitte Technology Fast 500

NORWALK, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 1, 2005--mPhase Technologies, (OTCBB:XDSL - News) a company specializing in early stage commercial development of new technologies, has been named the 132nd fastest growing North American company in the 2005 Deloitte Technology Fast 500.

mPhase is a leading supplier of innovative digital subscriber line (DSL) and related broadband components to the telecom industry. The company is also a pioneer provider of technology that enables telecommunications companies to offer interactive internet television (IPTV) services to consumers. In a wide-ranging collaboration with Lucent Technologies Bell Labs, mPhase is in the process of commercializing a "smart" long shelf life battery based on a Bell Labs discovery about liquids and nanostructures. mPhase is also developing a new generation of high-sensitivity metal detectors -- an outgrowth of research by Murray Hill, N.J.-based Bell Labs.

"We are pleased to be nationally ranked among such high-performing technology companies," said Ronald A. Durando, mPhase's chief executive. "We look forward to continue building our business on a solid foundation that is rooted in high growth segments like broadband and nanotechnology."

The Fast 500 list is compiled from Deloitte's 15 regional North American Fast 50 lists, nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500, and public company database research. To qualify for this year's Fast 500, entrants must have had 2000 operating revenues of at least $50,000 and 2004 revenues of at least $1 million. The 2005 Fast 500 rankings are based on the percentage revenue growth over five years, from 2000-2004.
