Exactly. Since the opening prices each day are set by market demand prior to the open, there is no direct correlation between the prior day's closing price and the next day's opening price. Most people don't even notice the dividend adjustment, but since SRGE is suspended and did not trade the day after the dividend, the price adjustment for the dividend is quite noticeable.
