RSHN Announces New Item Ginseng Viral Care

RushNet, Inc. Announces New Item Ginseng Viral Care
Wednesday October 26, 2:25 pm ET

BLUE ISLAND, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 26, 2005--RushNet, Inc. (Pink Sheets:RSHN.PK - News) is pleased to announce the expansion of its line of Ginseng Rush(TM) capsules to include Ginseng Viral Care, a formula consisting of powdered ginseng root, green tea, ginger, rose hips, acerola and other special ingredients.

The company noted that yesterday's segment of ABC-TV's "Good Morning America" cited a Canadian double-blind placebo study demonstrating ginseng's anti-viral properties. The clinical study, published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal (October 25, 2005; vol 173, issue 9), involved 323 adults. Those given ginseng extract (Panax quinquefolius) suffered 25% fewer viral colds than subjects given a placebo. Those taking ginseng also reduced their incidence of multiple colds by more than half compared to the placebo group.

According to the authors of the study, "Our results can be compared with those for many of the common antiviral drugs such as rimantadine, amantadine, zanamivir or oseltamivir for the prevention or treatment of influenza."

Robert Corr, president of RushNet, Inc., said, "The scientific confirmation of ginseng's powerful anti-viral properties will support our launch, in early 2006, of a highly profitable line of all-natural Ginseng Viral Care(TM) products. We have combined pure Wisconsin-grown American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius) with other quality ingredients known to enhance immune function and overall health. The result is a product which is very timely given the likelihood of raging influenza epidemics going forward."

Corr added, "RushNet gives consumers honest measures of certified unadulterated American ginseng harvested in Wisconsin, where soil and climate are ideal for ginseng cultivation. Wisconsin ginseng is world renowned for its purity and potency."

"Foreign ginseng is suspect with regard to its potency and possible contamination by chemicals and banned pesticides, as pointed out by U.S. Senator Russell Feingold," Corr continued. "To make matters worse, some manufacturers who list ginseng as an ingredient test zero for detectable ginsenosides, the unique active ingredient in ginseng. At RushNet, we are committed not only to offering consumers the best ginseng possible but also to exposing ginseng charlatans no matter how big they are."
