I am locked up with a WSGI NDA so please don't let me confuse you on that. Sumaria and L-3 are people we cheerlead but I doubt L-3 takes us seriously. If things go much further we will probably drop into a NDA with Sumaria. Anything you read from me (except once) here on the board about WSGI has been confirmed or released in public documents. No, no, as you know, Barbara and Glenn do their homework. So far they tolerate me and Glenn may even like me although I am sure I am a potential pain in the azz to him with regard to this board. But endearing as well as annoying, don't you think? :<)
As to your little heli, we did some training in an indoor WIFI-saturated environment recently (even invited Bday but he couldn't make it). It had crashed one just like yours and we were in the same 2.4GHz frequency allocation. Our flight controller samples the available channels, selects a clear one and then encrypts the link with an id tag on the packets. It was a great test for urban operations. We had a pilot error at the end of the operation (caught a curtain) but the platform survived.
If you are interested in MAV's, check out Prioira in Gainesville. They are the most credible Florida MAV manufacturer IMO. Could make a great partner for WSGI IMO as well.
