Some Basics for our NEW Members:
paper trade for the next 2 weeks..........start posting more on this board ...........get in to it and get involved.......set up a watch list........things you are interested in......IF someone puts out an alert on something.......take a look an see if that interests you, or put it on your watchlist for later..........use 80/20 rule.......2 out of 8 should be of interest to ya.......maybe more.....forget about the others......lose your sense of curiosity if you are not in it, thats time you cant get back.....if you like it......use your virtual account and buy it......when you papertrade, BE SURE to trade EXACTLY as you would with real money.....trade no more than $150 incl commissions.........if you dont have a virtual account.......use a postit note pad and jot the sucker down.........RIGHT NOW, what you need to do more than anything else is TEST your ENTRIES and EXITS.......can you buy at one price, sell at another and realize a profit?.......remove that old penny mentality of 'swinging for the fence'........if you have doubled your money, take the profit........start the process all over again........you did it once, are you capable of doing it again??? how big an ole boy are ya?.......are you a one and done guy or a guy shooting for consistency.........others would say, let the winners run.....when you get a lil more experience under your belt, a big AMEN on that one........but for now, just take the profit, you need the consistency and experience more than that win +......trust me on that one......been there done that.......this is a marathon not a sprint........if you plan on being around for a while, stay away from 'gambling', the socalled 'lotto' plays.......better forget about what you think, and just listen to experience.......good experience and bad experience........and lastly remember this on YOUR thinking: check your portfolio, that portfolio is EXACTLY what your BEST THINKING HAS BROUGHT YOU!
