This is merely the byproduct of uncertainty created by the absence of communication. I think most were expecting or hoping to hear something before the end of the year. Even if there has been no progress or a setback (which I doubt is the case) I'd still like to be informed about it. Not knowing is always worse than knowing. We all don't have an infinite amount patience.
