Here are my 2 cents, since it is a penny stock after all. Each one of us on here has a different personality and a different strategy for investing. It would be a very interesting Myers Briggs session, I am sure. We have day, swing, short and long term traders on here. And some, who are any, or all of those listed. For those who want immediate or very near term satisfaction. Today’s CC was a bust and disappointment. For those who are a long term investor, like I am, it was a very promising CC. I am sure all of us would have liked more information about what is going on and what the future financials will be. Maybe, just maybe, he doesn’t know or can’t tell us, because he does not know. I am ok with that, but I know many are not. I would rather hear the truth, after the fact, then have smoke blown up my tailpipe. Am at the point in my life where I am tired of BS and have no time for it or those who spew it. I don’t think Dr. Hayward would spew anything but the facts. That’s one aspect about him that I appreciate.
I have been wondering for some time whether or not I should even mention this, but I know of one major investment firm looking at this stock. Their interest of course, is in the revenues it’s generating. And they are not investing at this time because the revenues aren’t right for them yet. But they had enough interest to look into the stock and contact someone who has known the Dr. for many years and has intimate knowledge of his business practices and accomplishments. The information he gave about Dr. Hayward, was stellar (don’t think he commented on his motivational speaking though).
I am not looking for Vince Lombardi to run the company. I am looking for someone who knows, understands and can explain the technology to potential clients and investors.
Someone on here, listed the annual revenues since 2009. Every year since then he has nearly doubled the revenue for the APDN. Are the costs for the development high, hell yes they are, just look at what they are doing. Way above anything I would ever understand. Until just recently, technology wasn’t even available to do the things they are accomplishing.
Everyone on here is searching the web for news about APDN. Using all different combinations of words to find any new news about APDN. Let me ask you what you have found. They have connections, or are talked about in just about every major industry there is. Receiving mention, accolades or highly regarded awards for their technology. Not just here in the states, but WORLDWIDE!!!
Can anyone think of an environment in which there would not be a need for something like APDN? Whether it’s to prevent crime, deter it, keep honest people honest (just like a lock does). In good times and bad, there is a need for this product and although it is taking some time to get it going, its’ potential is phenomenal. What would just a Nike contract mean? How about a major Pharma contract. What about a Ford or GM contract mean. Oh yea I forgot, lets’ see if AMC or DLA expands the mandate.
Until Congress figures out what is going to save us from the fiscal cliff (trying not to laugh here) what stock isn’t in jeopardy. APDN is shielded to some degree with the mandate. But you are all more investment savvy then I am, what did the Dow and other markets do today. What about the medical care implications for businesses in the upcoming year. Every business, in every industry, is looking for ways to mitigate their potential losses so they can continue to survive in today’s environment.
Do what you want and what works for you and your finances. Personally, I will wait it out. I have respect for all of you and your strategies. I am a simple person, who hopes an experienced CEO like Dr. Hayward will offer me a better way of life in the long term.
Just think about what he said about how much revenue Sweden generated for the month of December and they are increasing their use. That alone, will nearly equal 2012 total revenues.
Whatever your goals are, I wish you all the very best in your endeavors. Do what is right for you and the others will do what is right for them.
