I believe the august 9 release did say the first phase would be for exactly what was just reported....

The first phase will consist of a geophysical program comprising a ground magnetometer survey to outline the size extent of Delta's exploration targets.

Still stinks, and may not make sense, but I'm not a geologist so what the heck.
