Agreed, That's Why People Don't Lend Tools!

Well if people bought liquidmetal knives and used them for food preparation like they are intended then they should be great.

If the morons use it as a screw driver then thats their own fault if they break. Thats like using an iphone as a baseball in a ball game. What do u think would happen.


I totally agree with what you're saying, and also agree that when used for the intended purpose a Liquidmetal knife would be an excellent option.

The problem, as always, is price difference versus performance difference... would retail customers pay the premium to cut a head of lettuce?

As a surgical scalpel, I think Liquidmetal could make sense, but as a knife, probably not.

You may remember the "Ginsu Knives", I don't know what they're made of but they never need to be sharpened and can cut a can in half then slice a tomato to perfection (I remember the TV ads).

My opinion is that Liquidmetal is better than steel, titanium, etc but how much better versus the increased cost.

I've never sent a sandwich back because the tomato was cut incorrectly... lol!
