Nursing Home CFO Arrested for Grand Theft Jul 01, 2009
Yesterday, agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Brooksville Field Office arrested David L. Gray, 54, for grand theft in excess of $100,000.

FDLE launched a criminal investigation in July 2008 when the Zephyrhills Police Department contacted FDLE for investigative assistance. The investigation revealed that Gray embezzled more than $450,000 over a 17-month period by writing approximately 100 checks to himself while acting as the chief financial officer of a nursing home company.

Gray was arrested at his Brooksville home and charged with grand theft over $100,000. Gray faces a maximum 30 year prison sentence if convicted.

Gray was booked into the Hernando County Jail. This case will be prosecuted by the State Attorney’s Office, 6th Judicial Circuit.
