That's a bit low.
80 million customers and growing.
RIM is number one in Africa.
Rim is aggressively opening markets that other companies barely touch.

Consider this.
In the last quarter the top 3 shippers of smartphones were as follows:

1. SAMUNG
2. APPLE
3. Research in Motion

Apple is losing ground to SAMSUNG who also happens to be its supplier for the chips that run the IPHONE..
Kind of a delicate position to be.
Recently SAMSUNG informed APPLE that it was increasing its prices by 20 percent for the chips...Little that APPLE can do about that.

People love a come back story.
And people like to own something that the majority does not have.
Since RIM was never much of a bells and whistles company .
Rim is a completely different animal.
Rim will never become that or will ever sell itself that way.
Apple on the other hand prides itself on developing
the sexiest bells and whistles out there along with Google.

Apple is loved as much as it is hated by customers.
Why? Because very quickly products become out of date.
Hardware upgrade costs are higher with APPLE .
Service is great but you pay for it through the teeth.

People are more interested in peeking at a GALAXY model instead of an APPLE..Seems like everyone has been APPL-ISED these days.

Some apple users are secretly peeking at the sneak previews of RIM's soon to be released operating system on YouTube. Views are growing exponentially week by week which means there is curiosity.

Being in the number 3 spot as RIM is..the best spot to be now.
Customers are genuinely fed up of being over bombarded with the FRUIT and OUTERSPACE messages.

People will return to something less complicated, more affordable and with the flexabilty of giving its user the freedom of leaving the labtop at home because she can do it all from the Blackberry.

It's a completely different animal the BB.
16 dollars?
Hell no.

16 dollars.
We will be there before Christmas.
By mid-January ...higher

And that's without any buy out offer on the table.

My opinionized predictions have been very very wrong in the past.
So don't make haste decisions now based on what I am hoping for.
