WRONG Again dolmo!!! My guess is that there wasn't a thorough reading of the definition of Capital Expenditure. You stated:

That is absolutely incorrect! Give this a try:

CAPEX are used by a company to acquire or upgrade physical assets such as equipment, property, or industrial buildings

In accounting the term Capital Expenditure is never used when purchasing another company. When one company Merges or Acquires another company it falls under (M&A).

No matter where you look, the term "acquire assets" is featured prominently.

What you are talking about is "Fixed Assets" - totally different.

Also, acquisitions are dealt with separately in a 8-K filing.

So CGardener was correct!
