OT: IRAQ IS NOT WORTH DISCUSSING ON THIS BOARD

Unfortunately, there is more HEAT (hot passion) than LIGHT (insightful clarification of issues) about Iraq or terrorism on this Board (as my brief Rorschach test on the subject proved last night). The lack of historical knowledge, relevant to any useful discussion of such issues, is appalling and that alone renders any such discussion futile without a course in mid-east, European, U.N., and American history. Too daunting a task. Too many here "think" with their emotions instead of their heads.

The current Bush plan of attack and takeover of Iraq was formulated by the key players of his Administration way back in 1997 (it was called "The Project for the New American Century"), long before 9-11 ever happened, and will be discussed on ABC's Nightline tonight. Might be worth a look.
