Mr. Lopehandia and his legal team were in court in Santiago on September 5, 2012 in the matter of perjury charges against Barrick in Chile. Barrick’s legal team informed the court that this issue had already been dealt with. The criminal judge then ordered the case to be moved to the appeal court which was going to be heard on October 9, 2012. This case was heard on October 29, 2012 in Vallenar, Chile. Barrick’s lawyers informed the judge that Barrick Gold Corporation (Canada) did not own these claims, Minera Nevada SA owned them. The next date in court is November 13, 2012.
