I think CGardners response says it all - about SRGE investors calling SCCO. Baseless Rumor and Thanks CGardner for the enlightened post:

IR would NEVER confirm that a "buyout is on" without a press release or 8-K filing -- to do so would be a violation of Regulation FD and expose SCCO to potential insider trading liability. Same thing for "pay close attention to the news." That would be an amateur mistake for the IR department of an NYSE listed company.
