it's just that experience suggests it would be a coincidence relative to his statement in the unsafe harbour if the future matches it.
from years of this, it appears ss simply doesn't have reliable foreknowledge of performance from one quarter to the next. he seems to say to expect significant growth almost reflexively, without really knowing it is so. perhaps he says it because he wants investors to believe it. perhaps he says it because he is an optimist. being an optimist isn't a bad thing. it is simply a quality that competes with accuracy.
at least this is how it looks to me. i may be wrong.
