Advertising in Western Europe
Our US FDA market clearances are being evaluated in the FDA’s Office of Science Integrity. The Office of Science Integrity’s function is to ensure that FDA’s policies and procedures are current and applied across the Agency, resolve scientific disputes that may arise internally or externally and that are not resolved at the Agency’s Center levels and advise the Chief Scientist and other senior FDA leaders on appropriate responses.
We are confident that our research, clinical data, current literature, sales to date, and vast international market clearances support is more than adequate to establish product safety and efficacy but we cannot continue to wait. We have been delaying the product launches in anticipation of US FDA market clearances increasing our price per share to lower our cost of capital.
The major problem in marketing has been the lack of advertising and promotional funds. We have broad market clearances in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East to promote and advertise our ActiPatch® Musculoskeletal Pain Therapy and Allay™ Menstrual Pain Therapy. We plan on conducting and implementing retail advertising campaigns in early 2013. The initiative is to focus on advertising and sales not only in the United Kingdom but also throughout Europe including Germany, France and Italy, in Africa and the Middle East. This core direct advertising market in Western Europe is equal to that of the U.S.
As you all know, our products provide superior pain relief, are disruptively inexpensive, and compel a 73 percent of these will reorder the product. The average user will use four devices a year, spending about $80 per person. We are confident that advertising to the 300 million Western Europeans will generate significant initial and repeat sales.
As we have done, we will continue to recruit distributors around the world. Our goal is to become available in every country on the globe. We are going to continue to seek the best distributors possible and to focus on experienced retail distributors who have the expertise, resources and contact to effectively advertise and promote our brands. We now have 20 qualified international distributors in the Balkans, Australia, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, El Salvador, Greece, Guatemala, India, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Malta, Morocco, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Spain and continuing to expand.
