Yes, but I think you are missing an important point....You don't "give" the "crooks" who break in your house your valuables.

Everyone who brought MIKP knew what they were doing and chose to do so. Now I know, you'll say the DD was misleading.....but ANY stock is a risk.

IMO....my point is if I'm willing to accept the risk of investing, I don't need some gov't agency "pulling the plug" on me.
I'm a big boy...let ME sink or swim....it's all about CHOICE and the FREEDOM to do what we as individuals think best (as long as what we do doesn't affect others).
