I also agree that the MCMHU would not beat this E.F of 2.4. I still hope that MCMHU would be competitive to a compact electric or gas tankless water heater in the market. In my opinion, I think we should categorize a hybrid heat pump water heater with a solar water heater, since they both use a free heat and not compact type.
