I have a friend who is the editor of a bi-weekly magazine of Jaguar car club ... 20 pages (only 4 pages in color), 100 copies printed, but can demand a bit of money for ad space. Average out about $10 of ad revenue per copy.
Imagine C&S, all color pages and nice paper .. 120 pages.
Say if the pass-through rate is 40,000 It can demand $4000 per full page ad easily. If you place smaller ad $800 per 1/6
Then you have front/back cover, first few pages in etc for premium rates.
Don't forget the revenue comes in from soon-to-be-up web pages as well. Rotational/Pay-per-click revenue can be huge, think Google's revenue from ads.
C&S is also smart about CLUB CTS. Ad placements will be in there generating income everytime people go in forum or check messages. I see this a great business model. Now they need to get people to join in, talk about the magazine. The magazine itself is first rated. I can't wait for the website.
