being suspended, a market maker can not be on a stock and once a market maker has not been on a stock for 4 days, rules say it goes to the grey sheets. in order to get off the grey sheets, a form 15c2-11 must be submitted to finra by a sponsoring market maker, and then be approved by finra. it is a very lengthy process and for all practical purposes, never done.
