There's a huge news story here...

Geo asked what I've been asking myself these last few dark days... Does this type of coding error happen much, if ever? Unfortunately, there are very few real journalists left in America, but it would seem there is a potentially explosive news story here ...

1. Who is the the third-party vendor? My assumption is PP has legal reasons for not disclosing, but I would imagine there are a limited number of FDA-approved facilities. WHO the F*&* made this error? It shouldn't be too difficult to identify or narrow down. Is it a public company? I'm sure the market would like to know? Are they insured?

2. What other pharmaceuticals companies use this third-party vendor's services? Are any of their trials compromised? On Monday, I'm guessing more than a few BP's woke to the news and said, "WTF, if this our vendor???"

3. What is the FDA going to do about it? Do they have an obligation to shut this third-party company down until the QA issue is identified and controls are established to prevent it from ever happening again? What impact would that have on other trials in progress? Do they have an obligation to warn other companies that are using this vendor's services?

4. Does the vendor have an obligation to tell its other clients about this error? Has it?

IS SOMEONE IN THE MEDIA ASKING THESE QUESTIONS?

A quick comment on the private board idea-- I don't weigh in much, but I read the board regularly and genuinely appreciate the insight, expertise and humor so many of you bring to this board. We all know the other boards are crap. If you disappear, we're left with another Yahoo board and no intelligent posters to lend valuable perspective to the potential investors, industry folks, PP competitors, etc., who likely read this board. I hope you'll reconsider...
Ignore the trash. Eventually they'll get bored and go away.

Best to all longs.
