IMO we will NOT see it. It will go toward stock buy-back, bonuses, added compensation, and other 'needs' of IDCC.

IDCC recently received $375 million from patent sales to Intel. $1.00 as a special dividend would have been only $43 million, leaving $332 million in the bank! (Yes, taxes would be due, but still, a lot of moola sitting around for what!?!?)

A $1.00 special dividend would do something to the shorts and share price and Wall Street!

In the meantime, we languish every day waiting for news of a major signing of a new client as well as resolution of arbitration(s), and litigation matters.
