I have a question regarding acquisitions. I am following Company A that is supposed to be acquiring Company B. Company B is supposedly a company with Companies C and D under its umbrella. The question is, Companies C and D have Secretary of State status of REVOKED. Do companies C and D need to be ACTIVE in order to be acquired by Company B which is then supposedly going to be acquired by Company A?

Company A ----- Company B(does not yet exist on SoS websites) ------Company C and D(status REVOKED).

Would it be true to assume that until Company C and D are ACTIVE, that this "acquisition" by Company A of Company B is just a fluffer or does status not matter?

TIA
