I see a couple of ways to salvage this community.

1. Do not rank promoters on trustworthyness or anything except for $$$ volume and momo.
2. Create value by keeping track of when plays by each promoter are coming and posting them once they are there.

Basically, be a stockpromoters.com but be real time or try to put upcoming plays up in advance (aka when promoters start sending the *coming soon* emails).

In the beginning I came here for advice, but I'm pretty well acclimiated to promo stocks now so I really only used the board for promoter updates and to see e-mails I was missing from APS and affiliates. I don't see the use in holding a grudge or angst toward APS or promoters that fuck you because it's the nature of the game and with the exception of the last TBX play, there was still opportunity to make money on the recent "bad" plays.

It places too much responsibility on the board/mods to try and advise people on how to play these volatile plays. Ken was a nice guy and meant well, but this board was directly responsibile for many novice traders building up a false sense of confidence and losing their asses. I'm sure he and the other mods feel guilty about this and that's why they have moved on.

In order to be successful in the future, I think this board should be remade (at the VERY least renamed - if possible) and exist to keep people up to date with upcoming promotions. They can be ranked on $ volume and MOMO but never allude to trust or safety with any of these plays. I like the idea of tracking promoters (perhaps price history for each promo ticker during promotional period). I think that adds value without responsibility.
