The statement makes no sense. Fixed focus is much better? at what distance? you maybe referring to auto ranging but that too has it short comings. When humans rely solely on electronics to get it right for them that is where the trouble begins. Take for example autopilot its great until a sensor goes flakey are ices up. Bottom line is its easy to sit in a chair and type an opinion, but its a total different story in real world situations. And BTW I do believe the Dazer is eye safe from one meter on out.... One meter... at that distance its a totally different game IMHO.
