Interesting idea. However, my point is not the definition of citizenship, but of personhood. We could change the Constitution to say that folks born here of parents that are non-citizens retain the citizenship of their parents (working it out internationally so such persons would not be in "limbo", of course).
We could not say that such babies cease to be persons. The definition of personhood transcends the Constitution.
