Suspect Detection Systems Begins Certification Process of Cogito Technology in Large Nation 8:35a ET August 22, 2012 (PR NewsWire)
Suspect Detection Systems Inc., (OTCBB: SDSS), a developer of counter terror and crime prevention technology, announced today that a nationally recognized defense contractor has initiated the required certification process for federal law enforcement agencies to implement Cogito technology in one of the world's largest nations.
The defense contractor has similarly provided full financing for the certification process. Certification is one of the processes that must be completed prior to the commercial implementation of any security-related product or technology by federal or local law enforcement agencies. Certification similarly enables the state's judicial system to rely on the data and analysis of Cogito technology in subsequent legal proceedings.
As previously reported, Cogito technology was recently piloted at the largest railway terminal in the nation's capital. Following the pilot, Suspect Detection Systems entered into a marketing and distribution agreement with one of the nation's most highly recognized defense contractors.
"Once Cogito technology is fully certified, federal law enforcement agencies will be legally permitted to implement our multi-layered threat detection system at terminals and border crossings across the country," said Gil Boosidan, CEO of Suspect Detection Systems Inc. "The fact that a defense contractor would finance the certification process demonstrates their confidence that law enforcement agencies in this country are eager to implement the system, following the successful demonstration of Cogito's abilities at a major terminal in one of the capital's largest railway stations."
