Post# of 30011
goldiger; that Yahoo poster mtstack2000 stated the following:

"Island, I don't think there has ever been a question that the restituted Amarillo Sur and Amarillo Norte claims have been in JL's name. So the publication of their ownership is rather anticlimactic."

The post seems to brush off the importance of the Amarillo Sur and Norte claims as if they mean very little to Barrick. I think they mean a great deal to Barrick. Sybil Veenman made a point of defending Barrick's alleged ownership of those claims in her March 29, 2011 letter to MSX:

"Since the Court of Appeals decision left the June, 2006 sentence ordering the annulment of the concession purchase null and void and without effect, the ownership of the Amarillos Norte and Amarillos Sur concessions that are in dispute never left Barrick's hands and therefore there was no requirement of a court order "returning" the claims to Barrick. The fact that the concessions/claims are registered in Barrick's name remains unchanged, as is evidenced by the property records held by the Vallenar's Mining Registrar."

A search of 'Amarillo Sur' or 'Amarillo Norte' in the 'Nombre de Concesion' box at the Sernageomin Chile website shows J.R. Lopehandia Cortes as the title-holder and seems to contradict Ms. Veenman's assertion that Barrick owns those claims.

I wonder if Ms Veenman would agree with mtstack2000 in thinking that the official Chilean Mining Ministry's website showing Jorge's ownership of those claims is 'anticlimactic'?
