Seabass...re: the strat

I know a lot of investors like you think the strat will be the BIG BANG that will break the back of the shorts and give us due positive press. But, from what I know and based on numerous conversations with experts at the viewing in San Bernardino, and other savvy investors, the strat is a LONG TERM project, much longer than even management is willing to admit to. Why? Because the other players in the telecom business (competitors) are NOT going to simply lay down and let little ole GTE develop a communication platform that will make theirs obsolete! End of story.

In my opinion, profit (not just increased revenues) with the other GTE lines of business will be the only REAL factor that will make the difference in the s/p over the next few years.
