The way they are referring to this is:
Beneficial shareholder is total shareholders by names.
Shareholder category the lump together all of the shareholders that use the same brokerage firm or transfer agent. For example if 100 people have HLNT in their Etrade and 50 people in TD account it will be listed as 2 shareholders, vs beneficial shareholders will be 150.
