How does that work? When we all get the pre alert, we look at the ask and put in our orders at or above the ask. When it actually opens up with a gap would our bids now be become the bid since the ask has moved up above our buy in price?

I am confused how aftermarket orders are prioritized. Does our bid now fall below what the ask is vs over like it initially was? Would someone that now has a buy in price higher than ours get bumped in front of us?
