You've got to have a limit as to how far you will chase. I won't chase far at all and the main reason is that in a few days time, usually it will take a big dip right back down to where it about started. The main problem a lot of traders have, is that they chase it too far, leaving them close to the top once it settles down. Then when the first big dip comes, they see it drop well below where they purchased and get scared and sell, only to take a big loss and then watch it go right back up again without them. When you watch your money lose 50% or so, FEAR kicks in and its a hell of a thing to control. If you don't put yourself in that position, then you limit the fear factor of your trade. I can't tell you how many people i have watched buy close to the top and be so glad to have gotten in, only to turn around in a few days and sell close to the bottom of the dip, from fear.
