I thought the same when I read the article. Seems a new line of Lattitude notebooks will be launched in Q1 2006 and it will be interesting to see what kind of security features it will include. There may be no connection between TPM and EV-DO, but some kind of seamless TPM based subscription model would mesh nicely with ubiquitous wireless connectivity and by now somebody making decisions has to see (and be preparing for) what's coming.
