Shlubtastic's post states 'Aluminum alloy'. Since Apple has rights to liquidmetal R&D, doesn't that mean they could add whatever metals they want to to it, in order to make a better alloy that works better for their application? I know nothing of the structure or properties of liquidmetal, but is it possible that Apple decided to add aluminum to this compound, which allows them to "machine" it, rather than inject it? Would it still be resistant to scratches / dents??
