What? Are you suggesting that "they" (I assume you mean the WMILT) is going to use the 'waterfall cash' to "buy" WMIH stocks and distribute that instead of 'cash' to holders of Escrow shares.

Nope. Period. Nope. Cannot happen.

A * recipient* of cash {a LTI Escrow share holder} _may_ choose to buy more WMIH after they get cash from the WMILT waterfall. Just as they may choose to buy any stock with new cash.

BUT, there is no way for the WMILT to distribute LTI proceeds due, in the form of WMIH shares.
