Hi Originunknown!

I did not know that FF had "Patches"

I am assuming you meant, suggested solutions in the Plug In list..

Need to be very specific with terminology and pronouns.

Keep in mind that all this stuff is interconnected and one thing impacts everything else. Compatibility.

I am a Tab Mixed Plus user and one tiny change in that add on messed up everything within. Even as minute as using customize button, use small icons box at the bottom. If that box is left unchecked, I get goofy, unpredictable results.

The add on I was playing with yesterday had to do with toolbar buttons and the size of them. I disabled it as soon as I saw funky stuff happening with my tabs, bookmarks list, etc. Took several restarts, clearing cache ( which I do all day long ) and finally, a cold start, to get things right again.

I was trying out a few FF add ons, did not like them, and DISabled several of them.

Here is what I am wondering: if you disable it, instead of removing it, is there an impact on the system. I read once that it does, and one should REMOVE IT, and not DISABLE IT.

I am a heavy CC Cleaner user and run the registry cleaner whenever I remove something.

I do a restart whenever FF says you need to. This morning, TMP was not working as it should. I finally did a cold reboot, and all is fine. I try to do that INFREQUENTLY, as I know it is hard on the mother board.

Sometimes bits and pieces get caught in the pipeline and until they are blown out, things don't work.

Glad things are ok for you. Have to go on YHOO and see if the flash notice comes up.

Susan
