We really need a physicist to do the calculations which compare what amount of liquidmetal is equivalent to do the job of aluminum.

I am going to make an uneducated stab.

If 1 ounce of aluminum (28 grams was necessary for one iPhone cover, then I am guessing that about only 7 to ten grams of liquidmetal might be required to offer the same strength

To be conservative, perhaps up to 10 to 14 pieces, then might be made per cycle. On the higher amount, perhaps we would have a cost price of about $7.00 per piece or cover plate.

Honestly....this is really sketchy. Someelse do the physics, please.

The yield strength of aluminum is 160 mPA

The yield strength of liquidmetal is 1900 mPA or 11 times as great.

The density of aluminum is 2.8 grams per cm3

The density of liquidmetal is 6.1 grams per cm3
