Ambient Corporation Delivers Enhanced Cellular Communications Capability on the Sprint Network
NEWTON, Mass., July 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Ambient Corporation (AMBT), a leading provider of secure, flexible and scalable smart grid communications and applications platforms, announced that the X-3100 Smart Grid Node with embedded Sierra Wireless MC8355 module has been certified to operate on the Sprint network. The addition of this Sprint network certification gives North American utilities more choice and greater flexibility to fulfill their cellular communications requirements when using the field-proven Ambient Smart Grid® Platform.

It provides upstream and downstream high-speed data communications using a variety of wired and wireless technologies, including cellular, serial, Ethernet, Power Line Communications (PLC), Wi-Fi and Radio Frequency (RF) technologies.
