Our old computer tech sent us an e-mail that said the following.
He was pretty good at keeping up with this kind of stuff so I thought I would pass it along. I don't know if it's true or not but I couldn't find anything on Snopes to say it wasn't.
By now you may have heard of the malicious *malware that may be lying dormant in your computer.
THIS IS REAL! The FBI confiscated a malware company’s practice many years ago and rectified the Internet issue temporarily. Unfortunately, we are JUST NOW hearing about this.
Sunday (07/08/12), at midnight, the FBI will be turning off those servers they had implemented to circumvent the malware, therefore, if you have one of the hundreds of thousands of computers, still infected with this virus/malware, you will have no Internet access on this coming Monday (07/09/12).
HUG YOUR KIDS TODAY AND TELL THEM THAT YOU LOVE THEM.
