Request for Data from GNC Stores

I just read a post on Yahoo from a very reliable poster who just visited a GNC Store in IL. The store manager told him they were selling about 9 bottles of Anatabloc per week. This store had 8 bottles on the shelf. I have been in a couple of stores that indicated similar volume, but most of the stores I have been in during the past week were still only selling about 2-3 bottles per week. I have been in one store recently that just started carrying Anatabloc a month ago and they have only sold a couple of bottles in the whole month (Fredricksburg, VA).

This is an area where we, as small retail investors, can do field research and accumulate data that could give us an idea of GNC sales for Q2 and Q3. If you do visit a GNC store, try to observe how much Anatabloc they have on the shelf, and ask how well it has been selling (and try to get some specifics).

From what I understand from talking to some GNC store managers, GNC had their big Annual Conference for franchisees recently and Anatabloc was a hot topic of discussion. They spent a lot of time talking about how well it worked and about getting GNC sales associates educated on the product.

Based on my recent visits to GNC stores, I am seeing a much bigger push to sell the product. Now we have to figure out how well it is actually selling. Please post any information you obtain on this board. Also, I can tell you from personal experience, the data you collect needs to be updated regularly. Some stores I have visited have gone from not even knowing they had the product on the shelf (the sales associate had never heard of it), to telling me it was selling like hotcakes a month later.
